SearchJulia Viertel wraps up PhD
Julia Viertel finished her work on guiding immiscible liquids in a microchannel via surface forces by successfully defending her thesis in early december. It is amazing how surface properties can actually two liquids that flow next to each other to cross over and switch sides. This principle may be useful to build micro extraction devices as Julia has demonstrated.
