SearchChristian Schlemmer wraps up his PhD thesis
Playing with marbles on real small scale - that was Christian's goal during his PhD work. He was a member in CPI's AFM group and worked with Svetlana Santer who has since moved to Potsdam for a faculty position. Christian managed to combine interferenz lithography and a special lift-off technology to generate a magnetically responsive polymer carpet which may further on be useful as a means to move small objects.
Christian has left for Bavaria. We wish him all the best for his future - and, yes Christian, it WILL work ;-)
