Sebastian Shaner

Sebastian Shaner´s research focuses on the design and fabrication of microfluidic systems to better understand different biological, chemical, and physical phenomena. The main focus of his work at IMTEK is to help implement novel polymer electrodes towards the field of wound healing and cancer. This entails the development of microfluidic platforms for testing different materials, biochemical assays, and complex system networks. The ultimate goal is to cross-functionally work with the project leaders to fabricate, test, and validate a flexible, supercapacitive polymer electrode dressing for accelerating wound healing during the inflammation stage via DC-induced electrotaxis.
