Merit Sieben began to study Microsystems Engineering in October 2014. In September 2017 she received her B. Sc degree with her thesis “Charakterisierung der Permiabilität von biokompatiblen Dünnfilm-Membranen” (Characterization of permeability relating to biocompatible thin-film membranes) at the laboratory for Biomedical Microtechnology (BMT), IMTEK. Merit Sieben is currently enrolled in the M. Sc. program at IMTEK. In February 2018 she joined the Microsystems Materials Laboratory (MML), as a student research assistant and is assisting Suleman Ayub who is working on LED-based Optrodes.
