I received my PhD degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During my PhD studies I worked on the implementation of optical traps with emphasis on biophysical applications. Then during a postdoctoral stay at the National Autonomous University of Mexico I studied nonlinear optical phenomena in colloidal media and
worked on an optical tweezers system based on structured complex fields. Since 2017 I joined the Laboratory for Bio- and Nanophotonics to investigate the mechanisms of uptake particles into synthetic vesicles.
