Victor Tapia Cedillo studied Mechatronics Engineering (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
UNAM, Mexico City) from 2010 to 2015, with an exchange semester at Pontificia Universidad Cat ó lica
de Chile (Santiago, Chile). Subsequently, he gained industry experience working as a Design Engineer
for special machinery at Bosch Mexico (2015 2019), including working half a year in Stuttgart
Feuerbach, Germany at Bosch GmbH in 2017 Currently, he is pursuing his master’s degree in
Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Since 2023, he is working at the
Microsystem Materials Laboratory (Prof. Dr. O. Paul), Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK)
on the development and fabrication of multi color micro LED optical implants for biomedical
engineering applications in optogenetics . His main interest lies in the various stages of micro fabrication
inside and outside the cleanroom.
