Dr. Roshanak Asadi Tabrizi

Research focus
Roshanak Asadi Tabrizi is a postdoctoral researcher with a broad background in materials science and engineering. Her research focuses on the design and interface engineering of functional materials for optical and photonic applications.
Her current research investigates transparent high-refractive-index nanofluids based on surface-engineered TiO₂@SiO₂ core–shell nanoparticles for adaptive liquid lens systems. Her work combines nanoparticle synthesis, surface functionalization, colloidal engineering, advanced materials characterization, optical testing, and complementary multiphysics simulations using COMSOL to understand material behavior and improve device performance.
Building on a foundation in ceramic materials, her research has expanded to biomaterials, optical glasses, thin films, and nanomaterials. Alongside her academic career, she gained several years of experience in industrial research and development, strengthening her interest in translating scientific discoveries into practical engineering solutions.
She enjoys interdisciplinary and international collaborations and is particularly interested in developing innovative material systems that bridge fundamental research and real-world applications.
