Dr. Susanne Koch
PostDoc, Group leader AEM Electrolysis
Vita
Susanne Koch studied physics at University of Konstanz and carried out her Bachelor thesis during a semester abroad in Seattle, USA on defects in perovskite solar cells. In her masters she continued working on perovskite solar cells in the Hybrid Nanostructures groups in Konstanz and wrote her Master’s thesis on ion migration and trap states in perovskite solar cells. Susanne Koch started her PhD in spring 2019 in the Electrochemical Energy Systems group with the topic “Electrode engineering for anion-exchange membrane water electrolyzers”. In March 2023 she completed her doctoral thesis. Since then she continues to work on further improving performance and lifetime of anion-exchange membrane water electrolyzers.
