Dominic Kleinknecht studied Molecular Medicine at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and Tufts University in Boston. Following his bachelor‘s thesis in Tissue Engineering, he pursued a master‘s in Biomedical Technologies at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and the Politecnico di Milano. His focus areas were Interfaces and Implantology. In his master‘s thesis at the Fraunhofer CMI at Boston University, he was working on developing a diagnostic test platform for biodefense priority pathogens such as Zika virus. After an internship at Bosch Healthcare Solutions as a hardware development engineer, he now works and pursues his PhD at Hahn-Schickard in Freiburg. Since 2020 his work has focused on topics relating to biosensory systems and system integration of diagnostic assays.
