Hidelberto Macedo Zamudio was born in 1988 in Mexico City, Mexico. He received the B. Eng. degree in communications and electronics engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico (I.P.N.) in 2013, and the M. Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering in 2018 from the same institute. During his master thesis, “Design of a carbon nanotube Schottky diode with coplanar access”, he worked on the development of micro-devices for high frequencies.

In November 2020, he was hired by Voxalytic GmbH, as a Development engineer and he started a Ph.D. at the Laboratory for Microactuators, under the thesis “Magnetoelectric materials to enhance wireless power transfer”, where he explores the possibility of using Magnetoelectric materials to enhance positioning freedom in wireless power transfer systems. Such thesis is part of Magnetoelectrics beyond 2020 project (BeMAGIC).

Voxalytic GmhH participates in the Maria Sklodowska-Curie International Research and Training Program (ITN) which brings together PhD students from 14 partners stemming from research and industry in cooperation with 11 further institutions.

In this program Voxalytic explores the feasibility of magnetoelectric materials for wireless energy transfer (WPT). They cooperate intensively with KIT and University of Freiburg in this context.
