Ingo Dönch

Dr. Ingo Dönch studied chemistry at the Freie Universität Berlin with main focus on polymer chemistry. He graduated in 2004 with his diploma thesis on Atomic Force Microscopy of polyelectrolyte multilayers, conducted at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPIKG) in Potsdam-Golm.

From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Dönch did a doctorate at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces on the topic "mechanical properties of polyelectrolyte multilayers at different charge densities and hydration states". During this time, he studied and extensively used analysis techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy and neutron reflectrometry.

As a PostDoc, he worked at the MPIKG on the development of corrosion protection by means of Sol-Gel-coatings to replace chromium, as well as on intelligent, self-healing varnish layers. He performed electrochemical measurement techniques for these analyses.

A two-year employment in the public service, followed by a two-year employment at Capsulution Pharma AG allowed Ingo Dönch insights into human resources management, laboratory management, business development and patent administration.

Since 2017, Ingo Dönch works as a PostDoc at the Laboratory for Sensors at IMTEK, University of Freiburg, on the topics bioinspired biomaterials, 3D cell culture and cell culture monitoring with microsensor technology.

Since April 2019, Ingo Dönch works as a qualified biological technical assistant (BTA) in the group of Bio- and Nano-Photonics and is responsible for cell culture and cell experiments.
