Kaiyang Yin

Background:

Kaiyang was born in Nanning, China. He received his B.E. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2014 and his M.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016, both in materials science and engineering. In 2020, he received his Ph.D. from Dartmouth College with a thesis entitled "Freeze Casting: from fundamental sciences to the applications."

Current main research areas:

His current research interests include the design and fabrication of metallic and polymeric programmable mechanical metamaterials with logic functions, including storage and thresholding.
