Short CV

In 2010, I obtained my diploma in microsystems engineering at the laboratory for Bio- and Nano-Photonics at the University of Freiburg, Germany. In continuation of my scientific education, I worked towards a PhD at the Gisela and Erwin Sick Chair of Micro-optics at the University of Freiburg in 2010. During that time I was part of an interdisciplinary research team and helped to develop an implantable Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems for the diagnosis and therapy of various cardiovascular diseases. My contributions to the project encompassed the development of stretchable optoelectronic devices, as well as in-depth theoretical work on light propagation in turbid media and on the biophysics of the cardiovascular system. After my PhD I returned to my scientific roots ans started working as senior scientist at the chair of Bio- and Nano-Photonics.
