Maximilian Neugebauer
PhD student
Vita
Maximilian Neugebauer studied biosciences (B.Sc.) at the University of Potsdam and biotechnology (M.Sc.) at the University of Münster, focusing on protein biochemistry. After writing his master thesis in 2016, in which he established a novel system for directed evolution of proteins in bacterial cells, he worked at the BIOTECON Diagnostics GmbH in Potsdam for two years. In this time, he optimized digital PCR methods and developed several digital and real-time PCR based assays in the field of food diagnostics. He is a PhD candidate at the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) and the Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft für angewandte Forschung e.V. in Freiburg since 2018, working on multiomics assay development and microfluidic platforms.
