Benjamin Landenberger

PhD student

Benjamin Landenberger studied Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg. During his work as a student assistant, he mainly dealt with simulations of fluid behaviour in micro channels for a lab-on-a-chip project and calculations of electrical potentials to design a micro ion trap. He completed his studies in September 2007 with his diploma thesis titled "Cell Sorting by Optical Forces in a Microfluidic Chamber". Since February 2008, he is a doctorate at the Laboratory for Bio- and Nano-Photonics. The aim of his work within thebioss excellence cluster is the development of a system for observation of biological objects and their manipulation with holographic optical tweezers.
