Peter Juelg studied Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. He finished his studies in 2014 with a thesis on laser micro structuring of medical fibers at the Fraunhofer IZM. After his studies, he developed fluid mechanical components at a Berlin based company for minimally invasive surgery. In 2016, he joined the Hahn-Schickard division for microfluidic platforms in Freiburg. He finished his PhD on the application of Lab-on-a-Chip techniques for cancer monitoring in 2020. Since then, he is leading the group Liquid Biopsy, part of the division Microfluidic Platforms.
